Readers that follow the blog on a daily base, know I’m a total movie buff. (Should I do a list of my all time favorite movies?) Lately I’ve been seeing so many sci-fi and action movies hit theaters and I was impatiently waiting for a new and non-cheesy chick flick. Seeing the trailer while at the movies this weekend, I think I found it in Pitch Perfect. I know what I’ll be doing when it comes to theaters January 3d (such a good time right after the holidays).
This sing-a-long type of story (by one of the writers from 30 Rock) features Anna Kendrik and Rebel Wilson (who I thought was quite hilarious in Bridesmaids). Anna plays a quirky new student who decides to rock up her Uni and help the singing group pull it all together in order to take on the regional competition. Sounds like Glee mixed with Mean Girls and Bring it. And to quote The Guardian (sure, why not!): Pitch Perfect goes to ruder, stranger places than Glee would ever dare, on a script that’s pickle shot punchy.
