Happy Friday! These are some quick snaps while on my way to a fun meeting yesterday. Amsterdam is so stunning when the sun lights up the old buildings and charming little canals, it makes me fall in love with my city all over again. Now let's hope it will start heating up the city anytime soon as well, before you go nuts with seeing me in a big coat again ;)

Gold rush

What better way to welcome the weekend than by wearing something sparkly. Although it could be argued that quilted gold pants mostly belong in a space suit costume, I feel like they can easily be dressed down with a grey sweatshirt and leather biker jacket (or with a denim button down like I did here). Definitely bringing these with me to Paris in two weeks, I think they would look good defying the cold with a huge knit or faux fur as well.

Snowflake by snowflake

Yup, back in massive coats and double layers of tights again... Whatever hope I had for spring approaching was crushed snowflake by snowflake this weekend. I did manage to flirt with the idea of summer a little though, when I bought myself a strappy and happy One Teaspoon dress after Sunday brunch with my girlfriends.

Winter rituals

Sky scraper heels, slippery roads and riding bikes are dangerous things in their own right and when combined it gets really messy. So as soon as there's snow involved I wear flats exclusively, for the safety of myself and everyone around me. I would prefer staying in until March over braving the snow dressed in 15293 layers, but people have told me that's not an option.

Sunday style

 Luckily I still remembered how cold it can get in January. So I have a first aid freeze prevention kit of faux fur + opaque tights + biker boots on stand by for a Sunday stroll.

Flower bomb

For todays shoot Eefje and I tried to channel a slightly different vibe. We were lucky enough to spot quite a cool location and to experience a bit of winter sun, which already gave a soft, golden light to these images. It still totally made me freeze, I mean, it's January, but anything for my readers ;) I wore this one evening over the Holidays and you guys loved it on Instagram (username yaragotstyle), so I'm excited to finally bring this dress in a proper outfit.

Floppy hat

Yes, this coat is made out of real teddybear. It's gotten chilly in Amsterdam - temperatures are said to reach a freezing point tomorrow - so I'm arming myself with all things fluffy! And a hat for some flair. Sticking to a minimal amount of writing today as you know, and just want to say thank you for the sweet get well wishes, it means a lot to me! Sending you a big, fat hug back from behind my screen.
