From Paris Fashion Week

Sending you lots of love and macarons from an insanely hectic, fantastic, fun Paris Fashion Week! On the first night here I visited the huge H&M event with all the worlds fashion and movie stars and even did a little dance with Cara Delevingne and Lindsey Wixson. I'll tell you all about that soon. Best. Fashion Week moment. Ever.

Right now I'm on my way to go backstage at Roland Mouret - extremely exciting (and equally intense since I've been working until 02.30 at night. See, Fashion Week isn't a holiday but with better clothes). After that I'll meet up with friends (I'm here with Cindy and Chantal) for coffee and croissants and jump in a cab to go backstage at Isabel Marant! I couldn't be more excited. I'll be doing an interview for ELLE and photograph the toppest of top models getting ready for This chick's got style. Keep you posted! Bisous, Yara

Bomber and sequins

I felt like it was a good idea to share some a slightly better shots of those sparkly sequin trousers I wore on NYE. This time we photographed in one of the favorite streets in my city, followed by hot chocolate and sale window shopping (all part of the job!). Today I paired them with pointy heels and a cool quilted bomber that I think I will get so much wear out of. I like bombers to be a little roomy so I got mine a size up. Bombers will still be big in summer and I imagine this faux leather looking great on ripped denim shorts, over a colorful dress or with anything sports inspired.

What I wore on New Years Eve

SOOO... Here's a collection of questionable dance moves in my living room after excitingly counting down to 2013. I had a small pre-party at my place and was so pre-occupied with joking around with my girlfriends, having one too many drinks, playing music so loud my ears are still buzzing and singing out of the windows while watching the fireworks that I didn't even think about getting a proper outfit shot. (Out of all the weird ones, this comes close to normal). For endless nights of dancing I gave up on wearing heels - the best moves simply happen on biker boots and All Stars - and I felt like this freaking awesome sequin trouser could be rocked with Converse just the same, and maybe even better.

Faux fur force

When I'm not in the mood to think about getting dressed or when I'm not feeling too energetic (hence the blog pause this weekend), I often find myself reaching for an outspoken, kind of in-your-face item rather than a safe option. A statement piece somehow brightens my mood a little and makes everything easier, at least wardrobe wise. Just add a slightly rock and roll t-shirt and faded jeans and you're good! This multicolor faux fur surely does the trick of lifting my spirits. It's huge, bright and gets the most random conversations going. And most importantly, I feel like a little teddy bear in it; perfect for cuddling my friends and family to death in during the Holidays.

A thing for leopard

I'm a total sucker for a leopard print when well executed - it's my inner Peggy Bundy screaming to get out. And Peg would find it absolutely valid to purchase two new bags in one week in this particular pattern. By the same brand. Blinded by leopard love I slipped in to an airport shopping attack (results here). And isn't a clutch a vastly different bag category than a little strappy pouch? Exactly.

Anyway, this is one of those outfits that I wear all the time when I'm working on This chick's got style from my home office. It's what I feel totally comfortable in. Many of you asked me about this t-shirt on Instagram (I'm on username yaragotstyle) and Facebook (where This chick's got style just reached 7.000 followers, so happy!). My shirt is two sizes up to wear it a tad baggy and I like to slightly roll up the sleeves.
